Barb and I used to sing a lot of duets for various services. We don't sing songs today with quite the same old fashioned ring to them, but the message still holds true:
"If we could see, if we could know we often say,
But God in love a veil doth throw across our way;
We cannot see what lies before,
And so we cling to Him the more,
He leads us till this life is o'er.
Trust and obey."
("If We Could See Beyond Today" by Norman Clayton)
In his grace, God allows us to see only that which we need to know for now.
How wise He is! How merciful!
